Cancer Rehabilitation

Treatment for cancer not only takes an emotional toll, it can be physically very hard.

The PINC Cancer Rehabilitation program provides individualised, prescribed rehabilitation to women diagnosed with cancer, helping them heal as well as possible and function at optimal levels through every stage of their treatment and recovery. The PINC program is dedicated to improving the strength, quality of life and sense of wellbeing of women diagnosed with cancer.

At the same time there is an element of surveillance which aims to prevent the onset and progression of physical and functional side effects, that may result from the cancer treatment, such as lymphoedema.

It is specifically designed to help maximise recovery, regain physical and emotional strength and improve body confidence and control.

Sharyn is a certified PINC Cancer Rehab Physiotherapist and Lymphoedema therapist and provides services including:

Sharyn combines her many years of musculoskeletal physiotherapy with PINC training to specifically be able to help women who have undergone treatment for cancer whether that involves surgery, chemo or radiation. Women undergoing cancer treatment are often unsure of what they can and can't do and may even be afraid to move. Cancer rehab gently works with each woman individually and the combination of gentle hands on therapy, breathing techniques and exercise is a really beneficial way to restore women back to their optimal wellbeing and physicality.
